Algebra and geometry: Global dimension of (higher) Nakayama algebras

This is a presentation of a Master Thesis.

In this thesis we look at bounded Nakayama algebra A for an acyclic  quiver Q in the form of a line.

Furthermore we consider their higher dimensional analogues of the form A^d_n introduced by Jasso and Kuelshammer following  Iyama's higher Auslander-Reiten theory.

In particular, we restrict the algebras and consider the special form of higher Nakayama algebras A^d_l, for the Kupisch series l={1,2,\dots} as bounded version of the algebra. We reprove Vaso's formula for the classical Nakayama algebras and from this develop a formula for the projective dimension of higher Nakayama algebras of the form A^d_l.
