Ångström Materials Academy (ÅMA) and the partnership NCC-Uppsala University invite you to join a half-day event around sustainable energy systems that will look at different actors’ perspectives and how cooperation can contribute to a safe and sustainable social development.

Energy systems are key in achieving a sustainable society. But a renewable energy system has completely different properties than the system we have been used to. It will change how we produce, distribute, store and use energy.

For a successful transition to a sustainable energy system, a holistic approach is required. At the same time, energy systems are a complex combination of several actors. Its development is influenced by new technology, regulations, social planning and companies’ strategies along the value chain. Therefore, a dialogue between different parts of the energy system is needed to create mutual understanding and to create better conditions for its development.

In this half-day event, we bring together researchers in sustainable energy systems and representatives from various industries, as well as authorities and the public sector. Short presentations are mixed with active and learning discussions. The event ends with a joint lunch.

Participating external actors are:

ABB Power Grids, Energimyndigheten, Fortum, Naturvårdsverket NCC, Power Circle, Region Uppsala, RISE, Sandvik Coromant, Sandvik Materials Technology, Scania, Skanska, STUNS, SWECO, Uppsala Kommun, Vattenfall, Volvo Car Corporation, Volvo Construction Equipment and WSP.
