You will also be presented with a method to perform an inventory of intellectual assets in a project, as well as examples of how IP can be used to generate value.
This is the third seminar of four in the course Intellectual property in research: strategies and practices provided by UU Innovation in collaboration with the Swedish Patent and Registration Office.
The course is open to PhD students, postdocs and researchers from all disciplinary domains at Uppsala University.
For PhD students, the course provides 3 ECTS in your postgraduate education. For other participants who complete the course, a course diploma is provided.
The course gives a broad overview of different types of intellectual property (IP) and how it can be used to add value to research outcomes, from describing impact in grant applications to licensing and creating innovations and value to society. It will also provide tools for finding useful information from patents in your research area as well as for structuring and presenting research outcomes from an impact point of view.
Registration deadline is 31 August.
